Following years of innovation and leadership in the area of “Mediterranean” wine-making in Israel, Recanati Winery is proud to present two captivating wines, from the varieties we love so much;
White Med Blend and Red Med Blend.
Two blends that express our world view regarding oenology.
Wines meticulously made while thoroughly taking into consideration the climate, the vineyards, the combination of varieties and the manufacturing technique. Wines that embody the essence of our Mediterranean narrative.
A special blend that combines three fascinating white varieties;
Grape Variety: Colombard, Roussane and Chardonnay.
Winemaking Notes: Following manual and selective harvest, each variety was separately fermented.
The Colombard was fermented and aged in a stainless steel containers in order to maintain its fresh and crisp character, while the Roussane and the Chardonnay were separately fermented and aged in one and two year old barrels on their sediments.
Tasting Notes: The varieties' combination and the production technique led to the wine's singularity and complexity, portraying fresh, fruity and mineral body on the one hand, and restraint and elegance on the other.
This is a very pleasurable wine, powerful and full of life.
Unique blend that combines three fascinating red varieties that form a Mediterranean blend;
Grape Variety: Carignan, Marselan and Petite Sirah.
Winemaking Notes: Following manual and selective harvest, each variety was separately fermented, part with their stems and part as whole berries alone, for approximately 12 days.
At the end of the fermentation process, the wine was separated from the skins as a free run (no pressing), in order to avoid bitterness and maintain the aromas, the finesse and the freshness of the primary fruit.
The wine was aged in one and two year old 500 liter barrels, for 10 months, a process that added to the wine's concentration and complexity.
Tasting Notes: This is a wine combining red and black fruit, spices, elegance and exceptional velvety sense.
